Euro Champs Silver & Gold

I attended the European Champs for Team GB at Heusden-Zolder a beautiful setting for a new track in Belgium in February 2025.

I was selected to race in the Team Pursuit as part of the 5 riders and to ride the Scratch race solo. The Team Pursuit saw us achieve Silver in the final, beaten by Denmark.

I was rested out of the final to race the Scratch. This was a mad race and can be seen on Discovery if you have a subscription to watch the last few minutes of a really unusual race. I was pleased I lapped solo to bridge across and into the medal standings which if you have Discovery you can watch here.

I was pleased to achieve the only GB mens solo medal despite still being in recovery for Epstein Vars. I’m looking forward to continuing my recovery for the last few percentage performance points, which are so vital in an ever competing sporting environment.
